I am a 45 year old married father of one, living and working in Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. I am an affiliate marketer and Forex trader and run a fine art printing business with my wife who is one of Cayman's leading artists.
We recently had our first child who was born extremely premature at one pound and four ounces and we spent the best part of 2008 in Miami Florida at Mount Sinai Medical Center's NICU. We finally returned home to Cayman in January 2009, mentally and physically and financially drained!
Our son is now making remarkable progress and has just had his first birthday. The miracle of his existence and survival is something I may write about some day.
Prior to meeting my second wife, I lived and worked in various jobs, some good, some bad, in various countries around the world. I spent my early years working in the City of London as a commercial insurance Underwriter but I've been a motorcycle instructor at both beginner and advanced levels, I've driven coaches and cattle, washed dishes, worked in a library, worked the night shift at a gas station, built websites and a whole host of other things I can't remember right now.
I love Ireland and its people, I love the American west and its people, I love Cayman and its people.
I watched too many westerns as a young boy and my romantic fascination with cowboys has never left me since. I am a huge country music fan too.
Nowadays if I'm not elbow deep in Photoshop or stretching canvas, I can be found at my laptop under the shade of a tree, banging away on these keys, or sweating it out on a ride on mower trying to maintain the jungle that is our landlord's yard :-) Failing that I'm at the beach and you can leave me alone!
